Faery Gardens

When I was about 2yrs old, I was given a railway set for christmas, and part of the set included little wooden animals, trees, hedges and people. My favourite part was the tiny little white houses, with red roofs. They were nothing but a block of wood with cleverly cut out windows which showed nothing but a view out of the other side.

But in my imagination, I saw a room, with furniture, and things. I still have the little houses and one of them accompanies me to events so I can show people where my inspiration comes from.

I wanted to create a little world that children could get lost in and what was missing from the picture would be filled in by their imaginations.

It should be noted that these are GLASS jars and therefore not a toy.
