The Dead Faeries - Magic never dies
Llanddona Witches
There is stories told of a band of wild folk that landed in a boat that was without sail or oar, on the beach at Llanddona. The locals of that region went to the beach and seeing them in their disarray proclaimed them witches. The desperate souls arrived tired, wet and desperate for a drop to drink. It is said they worked some magic and fresh water was theirs. Their are some tales that they were of Spanish origin, whilst others say they were of Irish. One, by the name of Big Bella (Bella Fawr)  who became notorious for a curse she put on a man of the region by the name of Goronwy Tudor. Another was named Siani Bwt who had two thumbs on her left hand ans so cold only have been a witch. The men of the party wore black cravats where they kept flies which they would release on their foes.
Today the witches are long gone.........or are they?
